I call this blog Reclaimed Ground because my work is about returning to places, histories, and stories that have been neglected, silenced, or misunderstood. In Guyana, suicide is often treated as a private tragedy, but I want to ask what social, colonial, spiritual, and communal ground has shaped that despair. To reclaim ground is to refuse silence and to make space for testimony, memory, and care. It is also a way of imagining new forms of life in which suffering is not hidden, counted, or managed but taken seriously.
